What a lovely, well written piece....and so true...I call my family weekly to remind myself how blessed I am. To connect, know what is going on in their lives, love on them and be loved back. A good hike in the beautiful mountains here or a walk by the ocean will make my spirit joyful even during hard circumstances...too beautiful not to enjoy. A good snuggle with my husband makes me happy. Praying and meditating on God's love for me and mankind; during the day behaving on what I have been meditating, there is always LOTS of practice...thanks for this piece Bill....me

Great job as always, Bill!

One thing we learned relatively late in parenting was to set clear expectations and then step away. For instance, I would make an agreement with Jonathan to clean his room BY 2:00 PM, then leave him alone. At 2:01 PM I'd either thank him for keeping his word or have the conversation (and consequences) for not keeping it. Works so much better than nagging...

Bill, what an incredibly timely piece! I am really struggling right now and today is a very difficult day for me. I have nearly given up on the concept of love outside of my family. I will definitely be giving this some thought over the next several days.

A beautiful post. I am truly humbled to have been quoted in your blog. Thank you!

Love IS a renewable resource. Everybody should love freely, and openly, just because they can.
